Disorder: Chapter II investigates, through movement and sound, the symptoms of Major Depressive Disorder. Manifesting itself through sadness, tearfulness, emptiness, or hopelessness, sometimes it can lead to outbursts, loss of interest, or lack of energy. People managing MDD can experience slowed thinking, speaking, or body movements. Some have trouble concentrating and making decisions. Recurrent thoughts of death are not uncommon.

May is mental health awareness month, and this project is dedicated to raising awareness and encouraging healthy support and discourse surrounding the topic. At a time of deep collective trauma, how might we reach out, tune in, find meaning, connection, and healing? For JDT, it’s all about living in the movement.
